"At camp watching my middle school kids be able to just be kids. What a joy!" commented Morgan Hobart, BCA's Middle School Conflict Resolution & Life Skills Teacher, on Instagram during Burlington Christian Academy's Middle School Retreat.
And, how true it was. Taking away the distractions of technology and enjoying face-to-face time with friends, teachers and mentors provided ample time to think deep. In October, BCA's Middle School students and staff headed to Camp Merriwood for the Fall Christian Retreat.
With a jam packed schedule, put together by Campus Ministry team Grady Brown & Jeanni Miles, students stayed engaged in activity after activity: ropes courses, paddle boarding, relay races, competitions, etc.
But, the sweet time spent in worship and listening to the Word tugged at the heart strings the most. The final worship service provided time for communion and decisions to be made.
Our prayer is that these Fall Retreats set our students up for their academic school year with a Christian mindset that they can be successful in whatever they put their minds to, and to treat one another with the grace and kindness exemplified by Jesus Christ, our Savior.
Thank you parents for trusting us with your treasures!
